Solidarity, not charity · Cleveland & Bradley County, TN

Neighbors meeting needs.

Just a bunch of your neighbors coming together to meet needs and fight systems that fail us.

Who we are

Solidarity, not charity.

Cleveland TN Community Resources is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Bradley County, Tennessee. We are entirely volunteer-run with no paid staff and minimal internal operating costs, since our administrative work is done digitally. Contributed funds go directly into programming and community support.

CTNCR operates under a steward-based leadership model with ten operational seats covering finance, operations, communications, partnerships, volunteer coordination, and program leads. This distributes decision-making and builds organizational resilience that does not depend on any one person.

Our programs

Community Fridge and Food Pantry

Continuously stocked free food access with no application, income verification, or documentation requirement. Removing barriers means we reach neighbors who fall outside eligibility windows for other assistance.

Emergency Microgrant Fund

Direct financial assistance for rent, utilities, transportation, and medical costs. Low-barrier and fast-moving, filling the gap between crisis and slower institutional aid.

Immigration Rights and Justice

Know your rights education, rapid response protocols, and direct support services for immigrant residents of Bradley County.

Community Programming

Regular free community events for the holidays and back to school, bringing neighbors together around the seasons when families need a little extra.

Our approach

We work from a mutual aid framework. Support flows horizontally between neighbors rather than downward from institution to recipient. Practically, this means no gatekeeping, no means testing, and no distinction between who gives and who receives. Many of the people we serve also volunteer with us.

This model reaches households that traditional service delivery misses, and it produces engagement rather than dependency.
